Touristic informations
SIRET. This little town of 8000 habitants
lies 42 km from Suceava on the border with Ukraine and it is a customs
post. Siret has a large proportion of Ukrainians. There used to be two
Catholic churches here, one for Franciscans and the other for
Dominicans, but they both collapsed in the XVIIth century. The town was
mentioned in a chronicle of 1334 when it was called "Civitas".
