Touristic informations
PROBOTA MONASTERY.
The present church was founded by
Petru Rares and finished in 1530. It was one of the earliest painted
churches still to retain some signs of its external frescoes. These
were carried out in 1532 and have recently been restored by UNESCO and
the Japanese Fund along with the interior paintings and the fabric of
the monastery buildings.
